Accurate Description

The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (known as the CPRs) are the Regulations that control descriptions and create criminal offences for traders that breach them. The Regulations prohibit misleading actions and misleading omissions that cause, or are likely to cause, the average consumer to take a transactional decision he would not have taken otherwise.

Care should be taken when using general descriptions. General disclaimers in small print, telling buyers not to rely on details, won’t be effective in preventing offences.
